| Pauline Gutter wants to understand and comprehend the substance of the land, the people and the cattle by interweaving them metaphorically into figures of each other, almost like images that are reflected mutually between three mirrors. A struggle for survival prevails in the dangerous world that is projected to us in the paintings on exhibition. The viewer observes the land, the people and animals in the extreme, depicted as soft targets and voiceless victims. |
